Dinosaur Painting

I painted this Dinosaur for my wonderful husband who loves dinosaurs. It was a bit challenging for me to do this piece as it is a very different subject for me. I usually paint flowers, still life or just anything more on the softer side, I mean pleasant looking stuff.

Dinosaur Oil Painting

You must have noticed that although it is a Dinosaur Painting, the setting is pleasing and not like a jungle. It just turned out like that.

My husband is a dinosaur collector and has tons of dinosaurs. I picked one of those (Apatosaurus) and started drawing on canvas. The complete background I did it from memory as I did not plan out much. I just like to be spontaneous sometimes.

I would be painting more dinosaurs in future. However, I would paint only herbivorous dinosaurs. :)

Let me know what you think about this painting. I appreciate your feedback.

Rembrandt Sketch

I quickly sketched this. I hope it looks like Rembrandt.

Sketches of John Singer Sargent

Copy of Sketches of  John Singer Sargent

I love the paintings of the great artist John Singer Sargent. I thought of copying his sketches, few of which are posted below.

I will be back with some more sketches soon, perhaps, the copy of Old Masters Sketches. Stay tuned.
